Saturday 28 June 2008

It has been ordered...

...one new Ford Focus Estate...wait for it...BLUE!!!!

Well there's a surprise LOL

Mum chose the colour - Vision - which is a metalic turqoisy blue colour, very different from the dark Jeans blue that we have at the moment.

We also stuck with petrol as the advanced payment for the diesel version was quite high and we already had the added cost of having to pay for a hoist & installation.

We will take delivery in mid-Sept..........................

Time to choose...

...a new car.

Mum is entitled to a vehicle under the Motability scheme but can no longer drive due to the stage of her MS, this means I am officially her driver.

We have had three estates so far on this scheme - 9 years, doesn't time fly - and now it is time to go and arrange for a new one.

It will probably be blue, in some shade or other, as this is Mum's favourite colour but this time I am considering whether we should go for a diesel or not - a lot will depend on what is available under the current scheme. I think we are going to need to sort out about some sort of hoist too. Mum has a mini scooter which is so much easier for her when we go out cos it means she still has her independance and can potter about as she wants - it also means I don't have to push her round in her wheelchair as she is becoming more of a deadweight to push. Unfortunately, the scooter needs two people to lift it into the car and Mum can no longer do this - hense the need for a hoist.

I'm sure I'll be back on here tomorrow evening to tell you all about what we have chosen.............

Yummy pie...

You Are Pumpkin Pie

You're the perfect combo of uniqueness and quality.

You're able to relate to many types of people with many different tastes.

But you're by no means generic or ordinary.

In fact, you're one of the most original people around.

Those who like you are looking for something (someone!) special.

You tend confuse people when they first meet you. You're not as complicated as you seem.

Even though you have a lot of spice and flavor to you, you're never overpowering.

You are a calm and comforting force in people's lives.

Mmmmm Chocolate...

What Your Taste in Chocolate Says About You

You are unique, creative, and fascinating.

You don't do what's expected of you.

You go for what's unknown and uncharted.

You are fun loving, outgoing, and very social.

You love meeting new people and celebrating.

You can be a bit of a fair weather friend. You don't like bad news or drama.

You love to be the center of attention. You enjoy entertaining your friends.

You feel lost when no one is interested in you... You're too interesting to be ignored.

It's here...

...again!!!

Just where has the month gone?????????? Tomorrow is the 25th and it is the June "Scrap your Day". Shimelle has posted the photo prompt and it should be interesting...we have been asked to consider taking photos 'looking up' and 'looking down' rather than just 'out'. I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Camera is charging so I should have plenty of power to last me all through the day. It is going to be strange tomorrow as this will be the first time I have been at work on "the" day since the project started..................now must remember to photograph the meals tomorrow, last month I only remembered when the plates were empty LOL.

Fingers crossed for some good weather...............

I've been tagged...

...by Ruthy.

The rules as I understand them are...I answer the questions below and tag 5/6 folk by visiting their blogs and inviting them to visit my blog so they can see what needs to be done LOL

Here we go...

Ten Years ago: I was working for the same employer but actually doing a job that I enjoyed. My niece started to need to use a wheelchair. We were approaching the first anniversary of losing my Dad.

Five things in today's "to do" list:
1) Get a loaf.
2) Get some petrol.
3) Print off some photos for scrapping.
4) Do some washing.
5) Put the bins out.

Snacks I enjoy: Vegetable crisps, Hoola-Hoops, Mars bar, Carrots, Marmite toast.

Things I would do if I was a millionaire: Have the most wonderful fully fitted out scrap room, buy all the scrapping gadgets that I want, travel to all the places I've wanted to visit, make sure family and friends are alright.

Places I have lived: East London, Dagenham, South Ockendon, Stanford-le-Hope.

Now to tag some folk - Annette, Nicola, Caroline, Sharon, Helen.

All done...

...at last, LOL.
I was asked to do an album for a colleague as her husband has been President of his Rotary Club this year and she wanted something like the memory book I gave him when he retired from work (he was my old boss).
This has taken ages to do and I don't really know why :o(
The colours were not my choice - they are the 'branch' colours for the Rotary club and I wasn't sure they were going to work.
I think I'm quite happy with the scheme now that it is done.
I really hope she likes it as this has been a lot of hard work and I really have had to stop myself getting stuck into other projects until this was done otherwise it would never have been finished................

New Toy...

...yep, new toy c",)

It seems like I've waited ages for this but now I have my super little Round-it-all to go with my BIA.
This one cuts 1/2inch corners - the 'little brother' that cuts 1/4inch corners is still awaited.
It is fab.
Hide your chipboard everyone, unless that is, you want rounded corners on everything....LOL.................

Tuesday 10 June 2008

Oooo lookee here...

...less than 200 days until Christmas.

198 to be exact at this moment in time. Perhaps I should start making my Christmas cards and making lists........**runs away to hide before someone throws something at me** LOL...........

Friday 6 June 2008

It's getting a bit...

...crowded in here...LOL

I keep finding things on other folks blogs and just have to try them...that's how I got the Christmas tree and the ticker tape message at the bottom. I saw the lava lamp on Debbie's blog (still thinking about the colours of that) along with my "Title" that I showed as a post. Now I've found the Tarot Card thingie that you see at the right. That I found this evening on Annette's blog when I went to check if she had posted any more lovely creations.

Annette is the Empress but I'm more than happy being The Star...LOL..................
